There are many senior living options, all with varying financial and medical care offerings, and it can be challenging to decipher the choices. After understanding your social, geographic, and economic goals, Next Nest narrows the list of communities to those that could best meet your interests, needs, and time frame.
We tour and evaluate each facility alongside you to assist in determining the best option for you or your loved one. Once you have decided on your future home, we help complete paperwork and pre-move requirements to ensure an easy transition. The goal of this process is to identify a new home where you will find friends and activities to enjoy for years to come.
planning THE MOVE
Next Nest develops a detailed plan and timeline for your move, with support every step of the way. We will find the best realtor, help you prepare your house for sale, and determine which items will go with you and which items will be passed along. Next Nest can provide as much support as you need.
Downsizing and right-sizing
So often family members do not have the ability to receive many of your home furnishings. There are several ways to sell your belongings or pass them along to others from estate sales to furniture consignment to online auctions to donation. Next Nest helps you determine the optimal way to pass along items to those who will be able to use them before you move to your new home.
Laying out the new home
Once you’ve decided on your next home, Next Nest determines how to best use the furniture and belongings you would like to take with you to your new space. If your new home involves renovations and choosing finishes for kitchens and baths, we can assist with that too.
Packing/Moving/Unpacking
Next Nest Advisors can coordinate the process of physically moving your home. We find the best moving company and arrange for all of your belongings to be packed, moved, and unpacked in your new home. Next Nest can assist you with the smallest of details from setting up your bookcases and drawers to hanging pictures on the walls. Our goal is for you to immediately enjoy your new neighborhood without the burdens associated with moving.
Additional Services
After an injury or hospital stay, you or a loved one may need more intensive short-term care. Not all retirement communities are open to those who are not residents, but we can find you the best options to consider given your rehabilitation and timing needs.
